The object of this organization is to bring into working relations with one another, music clubs and other musical organizations and individuals for the purpose of developing and maintaining high musical standards, aiding and encouraging musical education, and the promotion of American music and American artists.

TFMC
Organized 1915 in Brownwood, Texas to carry on the work of music clubs and the advancement of music in its many phases. The first annual meeting was held in Waco, Texas to affiliate local music clubs and hear the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
There is one fall board meeting and one state-wide convention held every year, with the nine districts revolving as hosts for the convention.
Texas is one state in the South Central Region of NFMC which supports Opera in the Ozarks with general funding and scholarships for this nine-week opera camp aimed at career students.
